Het project Groene Waterstofketen Kanaalzone Zeeuws-Vlaanderen is een gezamenlijke inspanning van diverse partners die bijdragen aan een duurzame regio. Dankzij cofinanciering vanuit OPZuid, ondersteund door het Europees Fonds voor Regionale Ontwikkeling en de Provincie Zeeland, wordt de financiële drempel van de opstartfase verlaagd. Dit maakt het mogelijk om risico’s te beperken en de overstap naar lokaal geproduceerde groene waterstof te versnellen.

HZ University of Applied Sciences leverde met een haalbaarheidsstudie, uitgevoerd door het lectoraat Delta Power, waardevolle inzichten. Deze studie legde de basis voor het koppelen van waterstofinitiatieven in de regio en maakte de bouw van het waterstoftankstation mogelijk.
Impuls Zeeland ondersteunt het project via het neutrale platform Zeeland Connect, waar zij zich richten op kennisverspreiding en het verbinden van initiatieven in de regio.
Dit versnellingsproject vormt de laatste stap in de realisatie van een groene waterstofketen.
